A Message from Mort

Published by admin at 3:38 pm under The Games

After the first day of the NFL Draft, I sent ESPN’s Chris Mortensen the following message through Twitter:

@Mort2u Could you speak to the character concerns of Smith and Rey Rey? WhoDeyNation has to be worried. Again.

Today, the venerable analyst actually replied to me with the following:

Mort2u Smith just young. On Rey, more teams worry about instincts than character. He’s capable of energizing team with big hits!

Thanks for the reply, Mort.  Maybe these new Bengals will be alright after all.

That’s another cool Twitter story from you, but man I just can’t get on board with that one.

Twitter is fun, mostly not because of what you put out there, but because of your ability to get information from people you find interesting or like-minded. Coaches, athletes, writers, directors, news media — they’re plugged into something you want to know about, and you get a little bit of their lives and experiences.

It’s also a great way to keep up with friends, but for that, Facebook is better I think.

I’m wondering if Mort only responded because my profile picture is of me when I was nine.

LOL, if he thinks a nine year old is hip to the character concerns of the Bengals, then I should use my three month old picture before I ask him a Chiefs question.
